Are we advance???

A visit to TTSH with Mum.

She hasn't been feeling well so the polyclinic that she often visit has referred her to TTSH. Since I am not working, decided to tack along to find out more.

Entered the room and the doctor started to ask a list of questions.

First thought, she has been referred to TTSH, why TTSH hasn't been informed about her condition?

Second thought, why aren't the hospitals and clinics integrated to share patients' medical history?

In the event someone suffer blah blah blah........ and unable t seek immediate help from the usual practitioner, will the next that help eventually become a murderer? I am allergic to some medication, will the doctor who try to help might just as well kill me???

Letter for Dad

Was at Mum's place last nite. Came across a letter from TP to Dad regarding an accident which happened slightly more than 2 years ago. An accident that took place just before Dad was dignosed with Cancer.

TP required Dad to attend Court and pay a fine for dangerous driving. Why send this letter now when he has left us?

I start to ponder ....... isn't Singapore technically adavance? Are the government bodies not link to each others? Don't they know he has left? Why send the letter now and RUB SALT ON OPEN WOUNDS???????

There are some family members who haven't been able to let go. There are some of us who are still affected by the lost..... especially to the children who are left behind and regret that nothing they could do to help at that moment. Regret that they haven't spend enough time to notice..... It hurts... IT REALLY HURTS.

If any government bodies ever see this blog, please be more considerate.

For those who love ones are still around, do cherish them. No matter how busy you are with work, play & etc, try to make times for them before you realised that you will never have chance to ..................

For Mum, you are all that I have left. I will do all I can to protect you...... I will not make you worry. I promised.

Labour Econ Exam

I got the exam paper and one look, the MCQs look unfamiliar leh.

OMG, what have I done wrong??? Have I been studying the wrong topic for today's paper???

Did all I could and am glad that exam is finally over .... at least for this semester.

Will be getting my result back exactly on my birthday. Please be kind and let me pass.

Diana Instant Back - Trial Run ONE

Finally done with the 120mm B&W Lomo film in order to start trying the instant back.

The 1st few shots of instant were horrifying. Didn't turn out the way I have expected. I thought something is wrong with the cam or the backing. Either nothing turn out or under-exposed. Finally, decide to add flash and change the mode to B. But adding flash is a wrong move, over-exposed. So, decided to stay on B mode without flash and finally, something decent appeared.

I found out that;

The view finder is definitely off focus. Very important to keep the image in the center of the foucs. But, do take note of the lens you use.

Some have problem getting the film to eject. Glad I don't have such issues.

Film counter is another problem. It should read 10 at the end of a pack but mine read 5.

Will run trail TWO and see how. If I still facing such issues, will go back to Lomo to have it replace.

DIY Scoot

I couldn't start my LX today. Even if I managed to start it, it moved about 10m then die on me again. I tried so hard but she just refused to start again.

Checked the battery connection, nothing wrong leh. Battery still in good shape. Then one very nice uncle came & suggest that I change the sparkplug.

Wow!!!!! Where is the sparkplug huh???? I haven't done this before leh. NVM, found the manual and seem like not so difficult to change it myself.

I am so proud of myself. I managed to change it without anyone's help.

Required to answer 5 questions out of 7.
Think I am done with it.
I have forgotten those I have learnt.
Please please please let me just pass this paper.
I don't want to re-take this again.

Unemployed

Yesterday was my last day with OIS(A)PL. It wasn't just me alone. I realised there were a few who have left OIS GVA same day as me.

Being sacked is no good for your resume. Being retrenched is fine, at least you are still entitled to ex-gratia. But .....those were the days.

I was told recently by a friend that she has been retrenched and wasn't give any compensation. The company she worked for is a renowned company in Singapore.

Those of you who still have a job, don't complain. At least, you still have an income.

Now...... I can only satisfy my needs and not wants. :-(
